Legitimate Extra Income Side Hustle Ideas

At Full-Time Job From Home, my mission is to help you find genuine, scam-free ways to make money online. Below, you’ll find a curated list of trusted sites that can help you make money online. These sites are categorized into many categories to give you plenty of options. Each one offers a legitimate way to earn extra income.

While all the sites listed are excellent choices, I’ve highlighted a few as Recommended because they stand out as the best in their category. No matter your online income goals, these are the ones I believe everyone should take advantage of.

Please note that these opportunities are primarily for supplemental income. On average, you can expect to earn an extra $20 to $100 per month. While it’s possible to make more with consistent effort, these sites are designed to give you a side income, not replace a full-time job. If you combine several of them, you could build a nice supplemental income stream.

Most of this list is tailored to US readers, and some international visitors may find limited availability with certain sites. At the end of this list, I’ve included a few sites available worldwide.

One final note: If you’re aiming for more than just extra spending money and are interested in building a full-time online business, I encourage you to check out the link below. It’s how I make the majority of my online income, and it could be the perfect next step for you, too!

Legitimate Online Side Hustles

Get Paid To Take Surveys

In this category, you’ll find top-rated survey sites that pay you to share your opinions online. These are the same sites I personally use and get paid by every month. Each company is ranked based on my experience, so you can easily see which ones stand out. In addition to surveys, many of these platforms offer other ways to earn, such as completing offers, watching videos, and finishing simple tasks.

When it comes to earnings, most survey sites typically offer $1 to $5 per survey, depending on the length and complexity. With consistent participation, you can expect to earn anywhere from $5 to $20 per month. However, this can vary based on the number of surveys available and how much time you’re willing to dedicate.

Almost all sites that pay you to do things online include surveys, but to keep the list short and only provide the best options, here are the sites that only offer paid surveys that I recommend:

      Is this your site?

Everything looks good it’s just time to start busting out content.

Are you familiar with keyword research? I recommend checking out my course on it. The one post you have doesn’t seem to be optimized well for SEO so it won’t rank on Google and send you free traffic.

My advice is to learn more about SEO and then start creating great content that’s optimized to rank on Google.

      Hope this helps,

If you are interrested, you can test Triaba – https://www.triaba.com and see if this is a panel you can recommend.

You wrote that there are few options in India, or did I missunderstand? It is a lot of Market Research Companies in India, but it is not too many Projects.

  4. Thanks for the list. I have used some of the sites you listed, but the time investing in them outway the money you make. InboxDollars do pay but you must do the trials to get paid quickly. I use Shopkick app, you get paid to scan items at your local stores and you do not have to buy anything. They pay quickly, if you are a shopper like me. I go into one or another store daily for one thing or another. I also love to play games on my phone so I use the Applike app. They pay you to play games on phone. (paypal). I don’t have any hobbies other than playing games on my phone and shopping online and every now and then looking up informational stuff. Is it possible to start a website helping people find unclaimed money or best place to look for item sites? oh yeah – PCH app is a never ending loop, never paying out.

Not all of these sites require PayPal and even if they have it as an option, they usually have other rewards such as gift cards. You should be able to join most of these sites and get paid via gift card if you don’t have PayPal or a bank account!

  10. Hi Brok,

I came across your site when I Googled to learn about Giftloop, as it came up on my phone via another app I’m currently using. Thanks for your review on Giftloop, as based on it I’ve chosen NOT to get it. However, the app that I currently have on my phone (among many) is called Slidejoy. Just curious if you’re familiar with it? I’ve been using it for over 1/2 year now. They are legitimate, in that they pay quickly via Paypal or you can choose e-giftcards or even to donate your funds to either the “Jericho Project” or “Got Your 6”. However, I’ve only done Paypal, and can only vouch for that.

Basically, you get paid for allowing them to run ads on your phone. You swipe it right; if you just want access to your phone. You swipe it left; if you want to review the ad. They say you don’t get paid any “more” for viewing the ads, as it’s based on the swipes itself. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be “fair”, as that does make sense. However, I can never quite get how much we’re getting paid “per swipe”. I think it’s based upon the companies of the ad & not so much on Slidejoy, but again I never could figure it out.

Plus, there are more money-making opportunities via their app, such as doing surveys, scratch-cards, games & watching videos. I’ve made on average around $7-$10 per month. I’m sure I could make more if I tried more. I’m doing so many other phone apps & online surveys that it’s hard to focus on just one at a time. There are more ways to make money, but it requires more downloaded apps for games & such. I haven’t downloaded anymore, as I just don’t have the time nor do I want any more apps on my phone …very draining on one’s battery!

I’m actually about to contact their Customer Service, as recently the “free ads” have stopped issuing me credits to watch. It says very clearly that there is no limit on watching their various frees ads, but I would occasionally get a message that said I had reached my “limit”?!?! So obviously someone’s wrong here. Then as of Slidejoy’s recent app update (1-18-18) I’m not even receiving ANY credits for watching the videos. I tried a couple different times, just to see if it was a temporary glitch. Even turning my phone on/off to reset it, but nothing. However, the ads keep running, but no credits are applied to my account. So again, about to contact their Customer Service to see what’s up.

I thought I’d give the app a little more time on my phone, but I’m still undecided if I will keep it or not. Sometimes, the ads that show up on my phone have somewhat explicit PICS on them. Not full nude or anything like that, but one of the ads might be about a celebrity or something along those lines, and of course they use the most provocative PIC of that person. Well, as a Christian I don’t really care to see such things. Additionally, it’s embarrassing if I’m in line at the store or somewhere that I’m about to show somebody something on my phone, such as these phone apps and of course the one time I show someone …the most explicit PIC pops up. Since most people have no idea that I have an ad-app on my phone that pays me …they’re probably wondering what on earth I DO have on my phone! You can “report” to them, if there’s anything offensive. They also try to tailor the ads based on your swipes. Since I never review any ads, I keep getting all of these others.

So anyway …it’s admittedly a bit annoying, so still undecided if I will continue or not. Was just curious what your thoughts on the Slidejoy app are?

Thanks in advance. Have a blessed day!

    ~ Deb (Madison, AL) ~

    • Hey Deb! Thanks for reading and sharing your experiences. I have covered SlideJoy before, you can see my review here.

It’s 100% legitimate but I found that it was too annoying to use based on the income that it provided, in my opinion.

If you’re having problems with the app and not receiving credit I’d probably stop using the app, especially if you don’t get a prompt reply from support.

There’re some alternatives that you can check out, but still, it’s a small income for the ads that show everytime you open your phone, in my opinion.

      Hope this helps,

      Brok

    • Hey Ricky,

When I joined WA, I was a free member for about a week, and in that time I went through the free starter course. After a week I decided to try the premium membership. Over the next month, I worked through all of the training on a niche site that I no longer have. After completing the training, it took me about another month to see traffic and any income.

I recommend giving it at least three months after you complete the training. After you complete the training, all of your time should be devoted to creating new content for your site. That’s what will bring in traffic, so it’s extremely important to focus on content once you understand how it all works.

Hope this helps, if you have additional questions, please let me know!

I was impressed by the way you provided your visitors with detailed, concise input and candor. You utilized your “people skills” in a friendly and professional manner, providing “value added service” & made a lasting impression on me and am sure many other visitors to your site. I hope they compensate you well for the skills that you utilize with ease & respect. I really think theses are scams, but I am not 100% sure. I have done some research and websites like Forbes is sponsoring them, however, I’m still very leary. Do you know anything about them? Would you be willing to check them out? What is your advice?

With most of these work at home programs, it’s just the same information redesigned into a different name. Meaning it’s hard for me to find exactly what you’re talking about without direct links. Most of them won’t even be around long enough for them to rank on Google search.

I was able to find the Home Jobs Source that you were talking about though. I’d recommend staying away. It looks like a system that has some big claims about income and no one can guarantee that kind of income or everyone would be doing it.

The pay is decent too, so they’re both great apps in my opinion!

      Hope this helps,

  25. Hi Brok.

    Congratulations!!! Wonderful job!!!.

I am 66 and can’t find a good job. Just tutoring some kids at their home, but it is uncertain.

I am a bilingual economist, project manager/analyst, consultant (international commerce, marketing and communications, and organizational development), and TV writer/Director/producer. Taught 10 classes in 6 universities in Central America.

Have some experience buying/selling through amazon, best buy, craigslist, and alibaba, some knowledge of web design, database and making presentations.

I want to work full time from home. Do you have any suggestion?

    Wish you the best!

    • Hey Victor. Sounds like you have a lot of experience in different fields. Pretty much everything you mentioned can be a substantial online income, it’s just choosing what you’d like to do. I don’t have a lot of experience selling online, but I know several people that make a full-time income from it.

Most of them create their own products, have them made in China, and then sell them on Amazon. Again, I don’t have experience with this but it could be something to look into.

  26. Hello everyone, I work for an online English company called 51Talk. You can teach on your computer at home and earn 15-22$ per hour. It can be a great supplement while getting passive income up and running without the hassle of commutinng to a full-time job.

  28. Hi.. I had originally looked at this site to review the Keep Rewarding site but I don’t see it now? I have noticed that they payouts seem to be 21 or more days out.. Is this site still legit? Are there problems with it? And it also seems to originate from the UK which is rather odd…If you have any info that would be helpful as I don’t want to waste anymore time on it.

    • Hey Kim,

Keep rewarding was legitimate, but I’ve had several people comment saying payments are delayed. Here’s the Keep Rewarding Review you were talking about. I recommend staying away. There’re much better sites out there that actually pay on time.

  29. Hello
Thanks so much for sharing this amazing guide about my favorite topic; it`s making an online income or find online jobs working from home. I`m really excited.
In fact, there are hundreds of ways to make money online. One thing remains constant among all those things, however. You need to work hard. There is no magic pill to riches online. Just like offline business, it takes effort and time to become rich. Sure, there are people out there making millions with only 5 hours of work a week, but you can bet that those millionaires have invested thousands of hours to get to that point.
    Thanks again

    • Hey, Millind! Glad you enjoyed my list of sites!

Unfortunately, most of these sites are not available in India, but one of my favorite sites that is available worldwide is Clixsense.

My #1 Recommendation also works in any country, so you might want to check that out.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
