What Is Transcription?

The actual definition of transcription is the written or printed representation of something. In the case of work at home transcription jobs, you’ll be listening to audio files and typing them out.

This is not an easy skill, but with some practice, it can be a great work at home job.

If you’re interested in transcription, I highly recommend checking out the Free 7-day course at Transcribe Anywhere!

Some of the sites listed below do require experience, but it just depends on the site. Other than experience the most important skill is being a fast typist. Most sites say 50 wpm or more is acceptable.

You’ll always need a computer with high-speed internet, and some sites require you to have a high-quality headset and foot pedal. Both can make transcribing easier and will help you transcribe faster!

As long as you can type fast, Transcription might be a good work at home option for you!
