Some of my favorite cashback apps are only available in the US, but that doesn't mean you can't earn cashback. Yes, you have to spend money to earn cash back, but if you’re going to make a purchase anyways, you might as well earn some money back.

Two of my favorite cashback apps, Ibotta and Dosh, are not available in Canada, so today I put together a list of 4 cashback apps that I recommend available to Canadians.

Drop is a new automatic cashback app. Instead of scanning receipts, all you need to do is link a credit/debit card and make purchases at participating stores.

The app actually started in Canada and just recently opened up in the US.

Some of the participating stores include McDonald’s, Walmart, Target, Uber, Walgreen’s, and many more. The app is still new, but a few new stores are added each week.

Once you earn $5, you can cash out gift cards to Starbucks, Amazon, Walmart, and several other options.

Checkout51 is an app that’s very similar to Ibotta but is available in Canada. Every week, Checkout51 puts out a list of items they will pay you cash back to buy.

You can purchase these items at any store, as long as you get an itemized receipt. Most of the items are grocery related and pay $.25-$2.50 cashback.

All you need to do is save your receipt and upload a picture of it inside the app.

Once you earn $20, you can request a payout via check. At this time they do not have any other payment methods.

Snap By GrouponRead Review

snap by groupon offersSnap By Groupon is another app very similar to Ibotta that’s available in Canada. Snap pays you cashback at any store for grocery and some health and beauty products listed inside their app.

You’ll earn $.50-$2.50+ per rebate. The cool thing about Snap is you can shop at any store as long as you get an itemized receipt.

When you purchase an available product, take a picture of the receipt. Within 48 hours Snap will approve your rebate.

Once you earn $20, you can request a payout via check.

Zweet is another app that started in Canada and now is available in the US. They offer a $1 sign up bonus and works similar to Ibotta.

Inside the Zweet app, you’ll see all of the products they’ll pay you to buy. Most of them are grocery items and pay anywhere from $.25-$2 CAD.

    • Hey Marcia, in the US so don’t have hands on experience with this app but does look like a new rewards cash back app that’s available. My advice is to use a trusted established one if you can but it doesn’t hurt to download it and atleast see what it’s all about.
