Be A Virtual Assistant With Assistant Match: An Assistant Match Review

Learn How You Can Earn $15 an Hour Working At Home As A VA for Assistant Match!
While looking into virtual assistant jobs I came across a company called Assistant Match and decided to throw together this review. If you’re not familiar with the company they were founded in 2007 and act as a staffing agency for virtual assistants.

From what I can see there is a lot of good feedback about this company across the web and experience is not a requirement, making it a good option for you newbies out there.

Let’s go ahead and get started with this review and learn more about becoming a virtual assistant at Assistant Match.

Assistant Match Review

assistant match reviewAs I said Assistant Match has been around for a few years now, and seem to only match you with US-based companies, most likely meaning it’s only available in the US. Overall I think Assistant Match is a good place to apply if you’re interested in finding a VA job.

There are a lot of details about this site that really just depends on the employer, but overall the site is going to help you get a VA job so I think it’s smart to apply if you’re interested in the field.

Assistant Match Requirements

The requirements are pretty much industry standard. You will need a computer with high-speed internet access along with a printer/scanner. You will also need a dedicated phone line (basically a home phone) to make calls and answers calls on.

Other then the technical requirements you don’t need any experience to join the Assistant Match mailing list. From what I can see some jobs they send you, have additional requirements and do require experience, but for the most part, companies will hire people without it as long as you have the drive to make it happen.

The only other requirements I could find on their website is a good communicator and be able to answer and make phone calls throughout the day!

How Assistant Match Works

I’ve seen a lot of confusion about what Assistant Match actually does in some other reviews, so I wanted to make sure to cover this. Assistant Match is basically a job leads site that you can join and get Virtual Assistant Job leads sent right to your email.

They do try to send you jobs that fit your experience and other wants, but will never actually be the company hiring you.

They do offer some free training and a paid E-book that gives additional information about working as a Virtual Assistant, but the main purpose of this site is to give you VA job leads for completely free.

How Much Does Assistant Match Pay?

There is no exact amount that you will make as a VA because it depends on the company, but here is what most VA jobs pay. For the normal VA job, that is basically like being a secretary, pay ranges from $12-$15 an hour. Companies often hire VAs with special skills such as blog content writing or graphic design. Some of these jobs get up in the $20-$25 range per hour.

One thing to keep in mind is Assistant Match will not be your employer or ever pay you. They just match or send you VA job leads. These are the companies that will set your pay and be the ones paying you.

Another thing to mention is that each job is different, very few hire you as an employee, most hire you as an independent contractor, which means you’re responsible to report income come tax time.

Full Time Or Just Part-Time Work?

As mentioned in the section above, it really all depends on the job that you get. Assistant Match is just going to put VA jobs in front of you and can assist in getting you a job, but the time frame that you will be required to work is totally up to the particular employer.

But from joining the list myself I’ve seen leads that are part-time less than 20 hours a week and some that require 35 or more. Either way, you should be able to find a job lead that suits what you’re looking for.

So Is Assistant Match Legit?

Assistant Match is 100% legit. I don’t see anything about this company that would make it a scam. The company does look like they actually try to help people get VA jobs by sending you job leads for completely free.

They do sell an E-book on their website with helpful tips about VA jobs, but I don’t know if it’s worth the money or not. These days you can probably find all that information for free on blogs and websites online.

If becoming a virtual assistant is something you’re interested in I highly recommend joining Assistant Match and getting some great job leads emailed to you. To join you can fill out their form here.
