Personally, I’m someone that goes straight to the clearance rack and out the door when I go shopping, but I know there’re tons of people out there that love to shop! What if you could get paid to work at home and help others shop? Well with the Fetch Shopping Assistant you can.
The Fetch Shopping Assistant App lets members send a text with what they’re looking to buy. Fetch Shopping Assistants then find the best deals on the item. Since real people actually find the best deals you can get hired to work as a shopping assistant!
In this Fetch Shopping Assistant Review, I’ll cover what you’ll be doing, requirements, application, pay, and all the important details of this work at home job!
What Does A Shopping Assistant Do?
As a Fetch Shopping Assistant you’ll be responding to customer inquiries about products and services they’re interested in purchasing. You’ll search for the best deals along with coupons or rebates that can help lower the cost.
Once you find the best deal you’ll respond to the inquiry with what you’ve found. As a shopping assistant you’ll be paid an hourly rate, but Fetch makes money when someone buys an item through a link that you provide in your response. It’s called Affiliate Marketing and is actually how I make most of my online income with this site.
Fetch Shopping Assistant Application
It looks like the application starts by sending a resume over to an email they have listed on their website. If they’re interested they will contact you back. In a few forums, I found that they will require a full background check and a video interview to make sure you’re right for the job.
If all goes well you’ll be hired and start the training process. Also inside the forum, I found that the training is pretty long and intensive, but the training period is paid!
Once the training period is over you’ll have a probationary period, just to make sure everything works out before being hired completely.
Fetch Shopping Assistant Pay
Fetch Shopping Assistants are paid an hourly rate of $12. I found a bit of conflicting information in the forums about method of payment, but it looks like mailed check is an option along with direct deposit at some point.
Fetch pays shopping assistants monthly as an independent contractor. Meaning earnings over $600 must be reported come tax time!
Fetch Shopping Assistant Schedule
Fetch does require you to work at least 20 hours a week. It looks like you’ll be assigned hours to work, but they are flexible and can work around issues. Most assistants work from 20-40 hours a week.
One thing that kept coming up in the forums is people looking to work nights and weekends get more hours!
Is Fetch Shopping Assistant Legit?
From what I can see the shopping assistant job at Fetch is completely legit. They are very selective on who they hire, but current employees seem to be very happy with the position. One thing to keep in mind is the schedule is flexible, but if you’re looking for a log on and work at anytime job this isn’t for you.
Also over the last few years Fetch has gone in and out on hiring people. Based on the past, they’ll hire for a few months and then not be for several months at a time. To see if Fetch is hiring you can go to craigslist and type in Fetch Shopping Assistant. Why they only put listings on Craigslist is beyond me. In my opinion, craigslist is the site with the most scams on it, so I don’t understand why they’d do this.
But if the fetch shopping assistant position sounds like something you’d be interested in you can learn more on their website’s FAQ.
I really wish they made it easier to find when positions are open, but for now, you’ll have to check Craigslist if you’re interested. If you’re looking for a WAH job now, this probably isn’t a good option. Check out some of the WAH Jobs and Extra Income Sites I recommend.
