Depending on how long you’ve read my blog, you might hold my opinion highly, at least that’s my goal anyway! Today I’d like to put together a list of the sites/apps that I’m going to use in 2018 to make money.
Most of you know that I make most of my money blogging, which I highly recommend to anyone, but today I’ll focus on the extra income/side hustles ways I make money.
All of these sites are legitimate, I’ll show payment proof of each below, and I’ll leave links to my full reviews so you can learn more!
The reason that I use all of these sites is that most of them are pretty passive ways to earn or only require a small time commitment compared to the return.
If you have any questions, make sure to leave comments below.
Let’s get started, in no particular order here’re 7 of sites I’ll be using in 2018 to make a side income!
7 Side Hustles I’ll Use To Make Money In 2018!
1. Swagbucks – Read Review – $5 Sign-Up Bonus – Paid To Search
Swagbucks is a rewards site that pays you to take surveys, complete offers, watch videos, shop, and much more. As you earn points, you can exchange them for gift cards and PayPal payments.
Swagbucks is by far my favorite rewards site, and I still use their website to get paid to search the internet.
They have their own search bar that you can use that occasionally earns you $.08-$.20.
This won’t be a huge income but when you combine it with the other ways to earn it’s a great site to use to make some extra cash on the side.
Once you earn 500 points, you can exchange them for $5 gift cards to popular stores like Amazon, Walmart, etc. They even have cash payments available via PayPal.
Here’s proof that Swagbucks pays:

2. Dosh – Read Review – $5 Sign-Up Bonus – Automatic Cash Back
Dosh is a new app that pays you Automatic cash back. How? Instead of scanning receipts, like most cashback apps, all you need to do is link a credit/debit card.
When you make a purchase at a participating store, online merchant, or book travel plans, you’ll earn a percentage cash back.
The reason I’ll be using Dosh is it’s AUTOMATIC. It takes a few minutes to join and link a card, from there just shop normally and you’ll earn cash back when you make purchases at participating retailers.
Once you earn $15, you can get paid via PayPal or Direct Deposit.
Here’s proof that the Dosh App pays:
To learn more about the process feel free to read my review, or visit Dosh.Cash to sign up and earn a $5 bonus!
3. PaidViewpoint – Read Review – $1 Sign-Up Bonus – Only Survey Site I Use
PaidViewpoint is the only site I still use to take surveys, here’s why. If you’ve ever taken a survey, you’ve probably been told that you do not qualify. With PaidViewpoint they only send you surveys that you’re pre-qualified for. This means you earn money for every answer you provide.
PaidViewpoint is really the only site that only offers surveys that does this, so it’s really the only pure survey site I highly recommend.
Once you earn $15, you can cash out via PayPal, Amazon, or Walmart gift card. As you know, I love to get paid cash, so here’s proof that PaidViewpoint pays via PayPal:
To learn more or to join, visit PaidViewpoint.com!
4. Drop – Read Review – $1 Sign-Up Bonus – Automatic Cash Back
Drop is another new app similar to Dosh that pays you automatic cash back. The process is the same, link a card and you’ll earn cashback when you make a purchase at participating retailers.
I prefer Dosh, but they have different stores available on each app, so it’s great to use both!
The reason I’ll be using Dosh is again, that it’s automatic. I don’t have to worry about scanning receipts, just link a card and go on with my life.
One negative to Drop is that they do not offer cash rewards. Only gift cards to popular stores like Amazon, Starbucks, etc. starting at $5.
Here’s proof of a $10 gift card I recently cash out to Amazon:

5. Qmee – Read Review – Paid To Search Browser Extension
Qmee is a browser extension that pays you to search. This is a very easy way to earn an extra income, but it’s not going to be much.
The great thing about Qmee is it shows results on a sidebar that doesn’t affect normal search results. With Qmee you can use Google or any preferred search engine and still earn.
Once you install the Qmee browser extension, you’ll occasionally see Qmee search results on a sidebar. If you click on them, you’ll earn $.03-$.10.
Again, this won’t be a huge income but it’s extremely easy to earn and doesn’t affect your normal searching experience.
Qmee pays via PayPal with no minimum cash out amount.
Here’s proof that Qmee pays:

6. 1Q – Read Review – Paid To Answer Short Polls
1Q is an app that pays you to answer multiple answer polls. Let me be the first to say that you won’t get many polls and each poll pays $.25 directly to your PayPal account, so this won’t be a big income, but you can earn money with just a few seconds of your time.
1Q is completely free to use and only takes a few seconds to sign up. Once you’re a member, you’ll occasionally receive notifications that a poll is available. Here’s an example poll:
It took me less than 10 seconds to answer this and I had $.25 in my PayPal account immediately. Here’s proof they pay:
Obviously, this won’t be a huge income, but I’ll be using 1Q in 2018 because it’s so dang easy to earn. Once you’re signed up the time commitment is so small it’s worth keeping it installed on my phone.
If you’d like to learn more or to join, visit 1Q.com!
7. Ibotta – Read Review – Paid To Grocery Shop
Ibotta is a cashback app that I’ve been using for several years now. On this list, I’ve mentioned a few new sites that earn you automatic cash back. These sites are very new and I think it’s the way of the future, but that doesn’t mean you can’t earn cash back with Ibotta still.
My plan for 2018 is to use the automatic cash back apps but also scan my receipts when I make a qualifying purchases with Ibotta. That way I’m earning the most back possible.
If you’re not familiar, Ibotta pays you cashback for your in-store shopping. They have a ton of offers listed in their apps that they will pay you cashback to buy.
Once you buy an available product, keep your receipt and take a picture of it inside the app.
You’ll earn $.50-$3+ on most of the cash back offers and can get paid via Paypal or Venmo once you earn $20.
Here’s proof that Ibotta pays:
At this time, Ibotta offers a $10 sign-up bonus once you redeem your first offer. You can learn more or join at Ibotta.com!
More Ways To Earn
I hope you enjoyed this list of 7 sites/apps I’ll use to make money in 2018. Again, most of my income comes from blogging and if you’re looking for a significant income online, I’d check out My #1 Recommendation.
Although I make much more blogging, I still love to use sites and apps to make a side income. Since most of these sites are pretty passive, it’s still worth it to make some extra cash on the side.

Extra Income Sites That Pay Me
What ways will you use to make an extra income online in 2018? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Good post.
Keep sharing with us.
Qmee is a scam,do no trust this site. They will steal your money. They have tried to take money un your account. I have lost money twice after using this App.I repeat,do not trust Qmee.com
They pay for sites you visit but they will also still your money. Be very careful with this site.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, Virginie. But can you elaborate more how they stole your money? I have to disagree and say that Qmee has been one of the most legitimate companies that I’ve worked with. Would love to hear more about your situation because overall the feedback for Qmee is very positive.
Hey Arie,
Thanks for reading!
I would set up Dosh and Drop because it only takes a few minutes to link a card and then you’ll start earning cash back. Ibotta you have to scan receipts so it’s not as easy to get going.
As you said, might as well join Qmee. Few minutes to join and then you’ll earn when searching.
PaidViewpoint is basically the only survey site I highly recommend. They only send you surveys you’re prequalified for and the surveys are short. Meaning you’ll earn for every question that you answer.
When you first join, It will probably take you a few months to reach the cash out amount of $15. As you continue to take surveys and provide consistent answers your trait score will go up which means more surveys and higher earnings per survey. Check out my full review to learn more about this.
But I’d say once you raise your trait score you can reach the cash out amount almost every month.
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please let me know!

Good list here! As someone who has still not earned their first dime online, I will definitely be sure to look into these 7 ways that you mentioned!
I have the apps iBotta, Dosh, and Drop, however, I do not think I really fully set them up yet, but that is something I have been recently looking into, considering that grocery bills can add up quickly if you are not keeping track.
Considering that I do not have to really do any work with Qmee, that one is definitely a no brainer for me to install.
As for online surveys, I have never been a fan of them, mainly because most of them never work for me and if they do, I end up working hours for peanuts.
I have not heard of PaidViewPoint before, but that is one I will have to checkout, as I often had trouble with finding any surveys that allowed me to take them.
My question is, how long did it take you to earn $25 with PaidViewPoint? I know that it can usually take a while to earn with those sites.
This is very interesting and the proof is apparently in the pudding. I am very interested but have a few questions. First is how much time did it take to make that money. How much effort was put in. Can you make much bigger money? Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions.
Hey Dale.
These are all what I call Extra Income Sites. Meaning you won’t make a ton but it can be an extra income each month.
If you’re looking to make a larger income, check out My Work From Home Job Directory or My #1 Recommendation.
If you’re happy making an extra income these 7 sites are pretty much my favorite.
Hope this helps,
