ySense is the rebranded version of ClixSense, a rewards site I’ve been using since 2013. I stuck with the platform after the switch and have personally been paid by ySense, so I can confirm it’s legit.
With ySense, you can earn extra cash by taking surveys, completing offers, doing small tasks, and referring friends. It won’t replace a full-time job, but it’s a solid way to bring in some side income each month—and it’s open worldwide, making it a good option no matter where you live.
ySense Review Summary: ySense is a decent rewards site that lets you earn a bit of extra cash through surveys, offers, and referrals. It’s not going to make you rich, but it’s a legitimate option for side income that’s available worldwide, making it especially appealing for users outside the U.S.
In this review, I’ll share how ySense works, payment options, my proof of payment, common complaints, and whether it’s a scam or a legitimate way to earn online.
Here is what we will cover in this ySense Review:

ySense Review

Site: ySense.com
Type: Rewards Site, Available Worldwide
Verdict: Legitimate, Small Income Opportunity
In this ySense review, we’ve found it to be a legitimate rewards site that’s available worldwide. However, you should know upfront that the income is small, and for some people, it may not feel worth the time.
For U.S. users, ySense does offer several ways to earn, but there are stronger options like Swagbucks and others that usually provide more opportunities.
That said, if you’re outside the U.S., ySense stands out as an excellent choice to make a little extra money online, since many competing sites aren’t available worldwide.
Ways to Earn at ySense
ySense offers five main ways to earn money online, plus a browser extension that won’t earn you cash directly but makes it easier to access your account and get reminders about new earning opportunities.
Surveys: ySense partners with many survey providers, giving you a steady stream of opportunities. I’m not a huge fan of how the surveys are laid out on the site—you’ll see the payout and estimated completion time, but not what the survey is about before starting. Most surveys take 5–25 minutes and typically pay $0.25–$2.50, which is standard for this type of site.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to answer screening questions, and sometimes you’ll be disqualified after a few minutes without earning anything. That can get frustrating, which is why I also recommend checking out PaidViewpoint, one of the few survey sites that pays you for every answer, whether you qualify or not

Offers: ySense provides its own offers along with options from several third-party providers. These include both free and paid offers.
Paid offers: often require starting a free trial or making a purchase (credit card details are usually required). In most cases, you can cancel before the trial ends and still receive credit. These offers generally pay $2–$20, making them one of the higher-earning opportunities on ySense.
Free offers: usually involve signing up for a website, newsletter, or mailing list, and typically pay $0.25–$2.
Videos: ySense also pays you to watch short videos, which can be found under the Offers tab in the ySense Watch section. The payouts are small—you’ll earn about $0.01 for every four videos you watch—but it can be an easy, mindless way to earn a little extra while multitasking.
Tasks: ySense has its own Tasks tab, where you’ll find short, simple jobs that usually pay just a few cents each. These are unskilled tasks such as looking up information online, basic data entry, or light transcription work. While the pay is low, they can add up if you complete them consistently.
Refer Friends: ySense has a referral program (called their Affiliate Program) that lets you earn bonuses for inviting friends. You’ll earn:
- Signup Bonus: Up to $0.30 for every new referral.
- Milestone Bonus: An extra $2 when a referral earns their first $5.
- Ongoing Earnings: Up to 30% of what your referrals earn, depending on their country and how many active referrals you’ve brought in.
It’s not the highest-paying referral system out there, but it can add up over time—especially if you share ySense with friends worldwide.

Browser Addon: ySense also offers a browser extension. While it doesn’t earn you money directly, it’s a handy tool that alerts you to new earning opportunities and gives you quick access to your account. If you plan on using ySense regularly, installing the extension is an easy way to make sure you never miss out.
How Does ySense Pay

ySense gives you plenty of ways to cash out—88 different options in total, including popular gift cards like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Starbucks, as well as cash payments through PayPal and Payoneer.
- Gift Cards: Minimums vary. Amazon starts at $3, Walmart/Target/Starbucks start at $5, and most others begin at $10.
- PayPal: Minimum cash-out is $10.
According to ySense’s FAQs, gift cards can take up to 10 days to arrive, and PayPal/Payoneer payments may take 5–7 days. In my experience, though, PayPal payments were much faster—I received the money in my account the very next day.
ySense Payment Proof
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using ClixSense for years and earned over $1,500 before the switch to ySense. Recently, I cashed out my first payment with ySense—$100 sent directly to my PayPal account. You can see the screenshot below as proof that ySense really does pay.

How Much Can You Earn From ySense
ySense is best viewed as an extra income site, not a replacement for a full-time job. Most users can expect to earn a few dollars per week depending on how active they are and what opportunities are available in their country.
- Surveys: Usually pay $0.25–$2.50 and take 5–25 minutes.
- Offers: Free offers often pay $0.25–$2, while paid offers or trial sign-ups can pay $2–$20.
- Tasks: Typically just a few cents each, but they can add up if you complete a lot.
- Referrals: The real earning potential comes from building referrals, since you can earn up to 30% of what your referrals make.
In my experience, a casual user might make $10–$20 a month, while someone putting in more consistent effort could reach $30–$50+ monthly. It’s not life-changing money, but it can be a nice way to cover small expenses or add to your online income streams.
ySense Pros and Cons
Pros ✅
- Legitimate & Paying: I’ve personally been paid, so it’s not a scam.
- Worldwide Availability: Open to users in most countries.
- Multiple Ways to Earn: Surveys, offers, tasks, referrals, and more.
- Flexible Payout Options: Cash via PayPal/Payoneer or 80+ gift card choices.
- Low Gift Card Minimums: Amazon starts at just $3.
Cons ❌
- Low Earnings Potential: Best for side cash, not a full-time income.
- Survey Disqualifications: You can spend time answering and still not qualify.
- Clunky Survey Layout: No preview of what a survey is about before starting.
- Tasks & Videos Pay Very Little: Often just pennies per task or video batch.
- Better Alternatives in the U.S.: Sites like Swagbucks usually offer more opportunities.
Is ySense A Scam or Legitimate?
Overall, ySense is a legitimate rewards site that can help you earn a little extra income online. It won’t replace your full-time job, but with surveys, offers, tasks, and referrals, it’s a decent way to bring in side cash—especially if you’re outside the U.S., where other sites aren’t always available. I’ve personally been paid, so I know it works.
If you’re interested in giving it a try, I recommend signing up and seeing how it fits into your extra income routine. It’s free to join, and you’ll get access to multiple earning opportunities right away. You can join for free at ySense.com.

Hey nice article you have there. This is a great opportunity to maximize and take advantage over lockdown in my country, ysense seems amazing, but they are questions that seeks for answers to me, what is the cost for signing up, when can withdrawals be made, is it on the first of every month or any time of the month ?
Hey there, thanks for reading.
Completely free to sign up, you can withdraw as soon as you hit the cashout amount for the reward that you’d like. Most gift cards are $5, Amazon is $3, and PayPal is $10. Can cashout anytime of the month, usually get paid the next day.

Heloo Brok, a big thanks for sharing this review on ysense. This will really set as a guide to those willing to venture in ysense m for me I think ysense is a cool platform with amazing features. I specifically love the part where you can actually earn money by simply watching videos, I love watching videos.
With this article I have a full confidence that ysense is a legit platform that one can invest in. Thanks
Thanks for reading Sheddy!
Hello there, thank you for this very detailed and informative review in ySense, my friend told me about this some time again but I didn’t take it serious but it came to my mind decided to do a research on it and found out all you have said concerning ysense and I see its quite a very good platform for passive income. But I need to know if ysense is affiliated with your number one recommendation above?
Thanks for reading Jomata, no it’s not associated with my #1 recommendation. ySense is just an extra income site where you have a small earning potential. Wealthy Affiliate, My #1 Recommendation is staring your own online business. It requires much more work than extra income sites but has a huge income potential. A few years ago I was able to make $83,000 in a year, which is nowhere near possible with extra income sites.

Hi Brok,
Really good review, extremely useful and informative. I’ve seen a lot of these survey products and what they promise but have never really looked into them because I had not seen many detailed reviews of them and what they offer. Living in the UK I’ll definitely give this a look.

Thanks for reading Nile,
In the UK you probably still have better options available then ySense. You can see some of my recommendations in the UK heremy recommendations in the UK here.

Hi !
Thank you for this review ! i didn’t heard of ySense before but as a non-US citizen (french), I don’t really know if it worth it. I have been using few platforms offering paid surveys from my country and international one. What I can say is that non-french site for online surveys tend to pay much less for me. Usually, the pre-qualification survey will stop very quickly. What do you think about ySense for non-US citizen compared to any other US platform site offering surveys and which can be used for anyone in the world?
Thanks for reading Lauranne.
ySense is a site that’s available worldwide so it’s a good option for anyone reading outside the US. Personally, my favorite survey site is PaidViewpoint, it’s great for US readers, and international readers can join, you just won’t get as many surveys.
Most of the content on this site is US-based but here are two links to help you:
Extra Income Sites I use and Recommend (US some other countries)
Extra Income Site Open Worldwide (Great for anyone outside of the US)
Hope this helps and thanks again for reading!

This is a very wonderful post you have here about ysense. I have never heard of the platform before now but reading this review, I can even write an essay about it which means you did a great job in your explanation. I would love to share this with my friend’s so we can all join together. This is a time when people are searching for ways to earn online.
You’re right Henderson not a better time to make money online.
Thanks for reading,
Brok
Hi Brok,
Your income stats look very impressive! What I like about your offer, is that it provides consistent income.
I am SO GLAD that your offer does not include surveys because I am SO DONE with surveys, which is just a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!
Oh – I think this statement just tops it all: “A Loser on a convertible that he rented….!” Ha ha, yes…Shame..!!
Ok, going through your article, you’ve actually convinced me to try ySense (as my final survey project) I’ve already tried PaidViewPoint and never got past $1, so I’ll skip that one…!
I didn’t know how many different ways there were to make money until I found sites like yours. Your article provided good insight into whether these kinds of sites are worth it because you showed us how much you had made. Where do you think this stacks up compared to others? How long does it take to earn a decent amount of money?
Thanks for reading Erich.
You can see a full list of all the sites I recommend and the rating on this page here.
ySense is good for international readers, but in the US there’re other sites that I recommend over ySense.
