Ibotta Now Offers Cash Back Through Mobile Apps!
If you’ve been on my blog before you know that Ibotta is one of my favorite extra income sites that I recommend to everyone. If you’re reading this you probably do some grocery shopping; you might as well get some cash back on your purchases.
I’ve been using Ibotta for over two years and easily make $20-$50 just by grocery shopping. The reason for this post is because Ibotta just released a new feature that I’m very excited about, it’s cashback when shopping on mobile apps.
There has been a lot of hype about this, and I’m excited to say that I used it a few days back, and it worked perfectly. Some of you might not shop on apps at this time, but the way the world’s changing I’m sure it will be the norm here soon. Even if you don’t, you should still check out Ibotta to earn cash back on your grocery shopping!
Here’s how making cash back through mobile apps works!
How Ibotta Mobile App Cash Back Works?
1) Join Ibotta
Obviously, the first step is to sign up for Ibotta before earning cash back. If you sign up through my link, you’ll receive $10 once you claim your first cash back rebate. You can visit Ibotta.com or just download the app and enter the code: xsolsia. Again joining through me earns you a $10 bonus!
2) Visit The App Through Ibotta
Once you’ve joined, you can see all the apps they offer cash back on. At this time it’s a limited amount, but I’m sure more apps will be available soon. You can see the app name and the percentage cash back they pay.
The next step is to find the app in Ibotta. You can easily open the app by clicking a button inside the Ibotta App. (You must open the app through the Ibotta app to get cash back). I highly recommend having the app already installed on your phone, if you don’t Ibotta will redirect you to the app store to download the app first.
*If you were required to download the app, make sure to revisit Ibotta and visit through them to before making a purchase
3) Make Your Purchase
Once you’ve visited the App from Ibotta, you can shop normally and make a purchase. The purchase should show up as pending within 24 hours, but they will hold cash back funds for at least four days. As long as you do not return the items your cash back is released and can be cashed out.
4) Get Paid
Again, cash back through mobile apps does have a bit of a waiting period, not like the grocery shopping rebates, but once it’s approved, you can cash out with $20 in your account.

What Stores Are Available?
At this time (8/29/16) the apps that are available for cash back are limited. I’m hoping to see more apps available in the future. As mentioned shopping through apps is becoming more popular, so I expect to see a lot of popular stores added soon!
At this time you can earn cash back at Boxed, Groupon, Hotels.com, Jet, Spring, and Ticketmaster. Most apps pay from 1%-15%.

How Does Ibotta Pay?
When earning cash back through apps, it says your earnings will be held for at least four days. Once the period is up, your earnings are added to your account.
You can choose to get paid via PayPal, venmo, or popular gift cards once you earn $20. Payments are made instally after you cash out.
Is The Ibotta App A Scam?
Ibotta is not a scam as I mentioned, I get paid each month by them and usually, make around $20-$50 on my own. Just to show proof here’s a screenshot of my latest payment from Ibotta (this contains referral earnings too).
If you’d like to learn more or to join, visit Ibotta.com to get started. You can just download the app and enter the code: xsolsia when joining and you’ll earn $10 after your first cash back.
