I recently came across a survey site called Gold Opinions. The first thing I noticed is that they had a long sales page and that there was a fee for joining. My first thought was, is Gold Opinions A Scam?
I joined and took a look at the Gold Opinions product, what I found was that this product is not worth purchasing and that it’s similar to many other scams I’ve come across.
Please keep in mind that Gold Opinions and even legitimate survey sites are going to be a tiny income! It’s usually a terrible hourly rate. If you’re serious about making a full-time income online, check out My #1 Recommendation to learn how I made over $13,000 last month online!
In this review, I’ll show you why Gold Opinions is a scam, why you don’t need this product and some alternatives to getting started taking surveys for cash.
Gold Opinions Surveys Review
Product: Gold Opinions
Price: $1 7 Day Trail, $27 Billed Monthly
Score: 15 out of 100
Verdict: Scam, Not Needed
In this Gold Opinions Survey Review, I gave them a terrible score and marked it a complete scam. I will get into more detail throughout this review, but just know that the sales page of this product is misleading, they are not upfront about how much you’ll be charged, and there’s no reason to have this product. It will not help you make any more money taking surveys, with the fees they charge it will probably help you lose money!
I do not recommend Gold Opinions in any way! Make sure to stay away from this product, but if you’re interested in surveys, here’s a list of some free legitimate sites.
What Gold Opinions Membership Includes?
Getting Started
In this section, they’ll give you a few tips on taking surveys along with some actions they’d like you to take inside the membership area. Some of the tips include Robo form which can help you fill out the screening portions of surveys faster. It’s a good tip, but will not help you make much more with surveys.
They’ll also want you to sign up for as many survey sites on their list as possible, which means you become their referral and they are earning a percentage of your earnings.
Premium Paid Surveys
In this section, you’ll find a huge list of surveys sites. I believe there’re over 150 sites altogether. I have reviewed most of the survey sites on their list. The list includes a few that I highly recommend, a bunch that are legitimate but not that great, and a ton that have stopped paying and are scams.
Paid Surveys By Country
In this section, you’ll find the survey sites available in each country. If you do not live in the US, this is probably the most useful section, but this information can still be found for Free without this product (more on this later).
$400 Sign Up Bonus
This section lists all of the sites that have sign up bonuses. $400 worth of sign up bonuses seems fantastic, but it’s a bit misleading. Most of these sites do have sign up bonuses, but they also have minimum cashout amounts. If you join all the sites on this list, you’ll have $400 worth of sign up bonuses all spread out on different sites. For most of those sites, you’ll still have to earn $10-$20 after the sign-up bonus to cash out and get your money!
Why Gold Opinions Is A Scam?
Misleading Sales Page And Earnings
Gold Opinions has a short video and a lot of claims on their sales page. Next, I’ll cover a few false claims that should jump out right away when you visit their sales page.
Here’re two screenshots from their sales page with false information. The top screenshot earnings are not reasonable. If you’ve taken surveys or joined any other survey site, you already know that most surveys that take 15 minutes or less and pay around $.50-$2, occasionally a bit higher but it’s rare. For 30-45 minute surveys I’ve never seen anything that pays $30, I think the highest survey I’ve ever seen was for $12, and it was looking for HVAC business owners only. So the qualifications are super specific to high paying surveys, but that also means you most likely won’t qualify!
The lower screenshot kind of made me laugh. They claim they’re the source between you and high paying corporations, but you already know that Gold Opinions does not have any surveys, they just want you to sign up for other survey sites. The next claim they make is that it’s “easy to make thousands of dollars per month.”
To put this into perspective, most people who actively take surveys in their free time earn $20-$50 a month. I make about $300-$500 a month on survey sites because I refer people and let them earn cash for me. But it’s not possible for someone to just take surveys and earn over $100 a month!
Members Area Not What You Paid For
If you go through the Gold Opinions sales page, your first impression is that they give you the highest paying surveys directly through them, but this is not the case.
The only thing you’re paying for when purchasing Gold Opinions is a list of survey sites. I believe there’re over 100 survey sites on the list, which means that there’re quite a few sites that are scams!
Not only are there scams on the list, but you paid $1 and are billed $27 monthly for a list of survey sites you can find for completely free. I have a huge list of survey sites that I recommend for free.
I will say although they have a ton of scams on their list, there’re some survey sites on there that I highly recommend such as Paid Viewpoint, Cash Crate, Fusion Cash, and Swagbucks. But there’s still no reason for you to pay to get that information.
All Legitimate Survey Sites Are Free!
I’ve already covered this a bit, but on their list of sites, all the survey sites you can join are completely free to join so there’s no reason to pay for a list when you can get the list and join all the sites for free.
Paying to join Gold Opinions will only get you the list of survey sites, it does not unlock higher paying surveys or give you the ability to make a large income taking surveys!
Are Survey Sites Legitimate?
Thank you for reading my Gold Opinions Review, I gave this site a very bad score and marked it a scam for a good reason. But some of you may be wondering if all survey sites are scams.
Not all survey sites are scams, the ones that are free and pay you can be a way to make money online. But you need to be aware that surveys are just an extra small income. Most surveys pay in the $.50-$2 range and take up a lot of time. You won’t be making more than $20-$30 a month taking surveys most likely.
If you know that, then there’re some survey sites I recommend. You can see a full list of highly rated survey sites at Extra Income Sites That Pay!
Please understand that even legitimate paid survey sites are going to be a tiny income, and usually works out to a terrible hourly rate. If you’re serious about making a full-time income online, check out My #1 Recommendation to learn how I made over $13,000 last month online!

Gold Opinions is just yet another scam in the world of work from home online scams. It’s really sad but these types of scams use the same misleading information of getting a lot of riches in little time and like you say, what you pay for isn’t what you end up getting. Well done on the review as you really bring out why its a scam.
Glad you took the time to read my Gold Opinions review and to leave a comment. You’re right when you say that many products use the exact same tactics to get you to buy the product. I reviewed 10-20 of these products all promising large survey income and the “secret” to earning more with paid online surveys.
As you seen there’s nothing in this product that will help you earn more money taking surveys. After the fee you’ll probably end up losing money!
