WritersDomain is a freelance writing site that pays you to write SEO keyword driven articles.
This is available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zeland, and France.
The pay is not bad compared to other freelance writing sites, and overall feedback is positive.

In this Writer’s Domain Review I’ll cover the requirements, application process, pay, schedule, complaints, and if this freelance writing site is a scam!
WritersDomain Requirements
WritersDomain hires in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zeland, and France. You need to be 18 or older, have a computer with internet access, and be fluent in English.
You’re required to pass a writing and grammar test during the application.
WritersDomain Application
The application process should take around an hour. The first step is to fill out a form with your contact information, PayPal email, and the topics you’re interested in writing about.
The next step is to submit an original writing example that’s at least 400 words long.
You’ll also need to pass a short timed grammar test. Once you’re done, you can expect to hear back from WritersDomain within 2-3 business days.
If your application is denied or you fail the grammar test, you can re-apply in 6 months.
*If they’re not currently hiring in your country, you can join their waiting list and be emailed when spots open up.
How Does WritersDomain Work?
Once you’re accepted, you can log on at any time and pick up writing work as long as it’s available. They have standard and premium articles. From what I could find, standard articles are 400 words or more and premium articles are 600 words or more and require more research.
You’ll be writing SEO centered articles based on a keyword that’s provided. They have a wide variety of topics, so everyone should be able to find content they can write about.
Once you submit your article, it’s reviewed and either denied or approved and assigned a star level. You’ll get paid based on the star level it’s assigned.
WritersDomain Pay
When you submit an article, it’s assigned a star level which affects the pay. Here’s the breakdown.
Standard Article
- 3 star: $12.25
- 4 star: $14.75
- 5 star: $15.50
Premium Article
- 4 star: $28.75
- 5 star: $32.50
WritersDomain pays once a month on the 5th via PayPal. They do say if you have more than $100 in earnings you can request payment at any time during the month, instead of waiting till the 5th.
They hire you as an independent contractor, so if you’re in the US and earn $600 or more in a tax year, you need to report it come tax time.
WritersDomain Schedule
Like most freelance writing sites, you can log on at any time and pick up writing work. As long as there’s writing work available, you can write any time that fits into your schedule.
They say on their site that it’s considered contract work, although they have a lot of writing jobs available, don’t expect to earn a full-time income from this site alone.
Is WritersDomain a Scam?
WritersDomain is not a scam; it’s a freelance writing site with a lot of positive feedback, and the pay rate is good compared to other sites.
I will say that if you’re looking to make freelance writing a full-time income, you’ll probably need to join other sites to give you enough work.
