Cash For Steps App Review: Scam or Legitimate Way To Earn?

cash for steps app review is it a scam or legitimateI recently came across a new app called Cash For Steps that will pay you for the steps that you take. Similar to apps like Sweatcoin and Achievement, this is not an app that you can download and get paid today. It’s going to take some time to reach the cashout amount, but if you’re pretty active, this can be an easy way to earn some cash.

Cash For Steps now links with Apple Health or Fitbit!

Cash For Steps seems to be legitimate, but please know this will not make you rich. If you’re looking to make a large online income, I’d check out My #1 Recommendation; it’s how I made over $13,000 last month online!

In this Cash For Steps Review, I’ll cover how to earn, how to get paid, my complaints, and if this app is a scam!

Cash For Steps Review

App: Cash For Steps

Type: Paid To Walk

Verdict: Legitimate, Could Be Better

In this Cash For Steps Review, I marked them legitimate, but by no means is this the best app in the world when it comes to making money. The whole key to this is making the top 50 consistently (I’ll cover this more in ways to earn.) To do this, you’ll need to be taking around 20,000 steps a day.

Even when you make it in the top 50, there’s no guarantee that you’ll earn any money, because there’re only 5 $1 winners each day.

If you consistently take 20,000 or more steps a day, this can be a slow earner for you, but if you don’t meet those step numbers, you’ll probably want to look for another way to make money online.

How To Earn With Cash For Steps

There’re a few ways to earn at Cash For Steps and each rewards you $1. I’ll cover each way in detail below. Just to put it in perspective you’ll need to earn $10 before you can cash out.

Top 50

Each day your steps will sync with the Cash For Steps app. You can sync your steps using your Apple Health Account or with Fitbit. Each step is worth one point, and if you earn enough points to be in the Top 50 of all Cash for Steps users, you have a chance of being one of 5 $1 winners daily.

I’ve been watching the app for a few weeks now, and it seems around 18,000 steps will get you in the top 50, at least at the time of this review.

Each day 5 $1 winners will be chosen from the top 50. In their FAQs, they state that the chance of winning is equal for all top 50 and not weighed by position.

If you make the top 50 and are a random winner, $1 will be added to your account.

Achievements

There’re five achievements that you can earn that pay you $1 each time you complete them. The achievements include Check-In, Loyalty, Top Fifty, Top Five, and Max Steps.

I’ll cover each in more detail below:

Check-In: Each day you can log into the app and check in. You’ll earn $1 everyone 21 days you check in.

Loyalty: Pays you for having the app installed. You’ll earn $1 for every 50 days you have the app installed.

Top Fifty: Every 20 days you make it in the Top 50 you’ll earn $1.

Top Five: Every seven days you make it in the Top 5 you’ll earn $1.

Max Steps: Every day that you take over 30,000 steps you’ll earn $1.

As you can see achievements guarantee you’ll earn money, but they are more long term goals that will help you earn money even if you’re not making it in the top 50 and winning at random.

How Does Cash For Steps Pay

Once you earn $10, you can get paid via Amazon gift card. iTunes is also an option, but it starts at $15. Once you cash out, you should get the gift card directly to your email within 1-3 business days.

Note that iTunes gift cards are for the US only.

Cash For Steps Complaints

Just a Chance

Cash for Steps does not guarantee that you’ll earn money each day for your steps, you only have a chance of winning if you can make it in the Top 50. Luckily the achievements do offer some guaranteed rewards but do take some time to meet, and they only pay $1. If you’re not winning $1 for being in the Top 50, it’s going to take a while to reach the cash out amount on just achievements.

Limited Payment Options

As most of you know, my favorite way to get paid is via PayPal. Unfortunately, Cash for Steps only pays you via Amazon and iTunes gift cards. I’m glad that Amazon is one of the gift cards available but do wish they had a cash option to get paid.

Going To Take Some Time/Small Income

Cash For Steps is not an app that you download today and get paid tomorrow. It’s going to take some time to earn. Best case scenario let’s say you make the top 50 every day and have a 5/50 or 1/10 chance of winning. Even if you win once out of every 10 days you’re in the top 50 it’s still going to take over 3 months to reach the cashout amount.

Yes, you will earn some achievements along the way that will earn you a $1, but chances are you won’t make the top 50 every single day and you might not win 1 out of every 10 times you make it.

Is Cash For Steps A Scam?

Cash For Steps is not a scam, but it’s not going to be an app for everyone. It’s one of the apps that you download and not think about. Over time you’ll be earning when you are in the Top 50 and when you complete achievements. Either way, it’s going to take some time to earn enough to get paid.

If you regularly take around 20,000 steps a day, I can see where this might be a decent option, since you’ll most likely be in the Top 50 most days. But if you’re not meeting that many steps a day this app probably won’t be for you.

If you’d like to learn more or to join, search for Cash For Steps in your phones app store.
