In no way am I a financial manager, so I won’t be recommending a Walmart credit card or any credit card that offers cash back. With that being said, you can earn even more if you use a credit card that pays cash back to make purchases at Walmart.

This process is relatively simple but does require you to sign up for a few free sites and apps. The main app is going to pay you for any purchase you make in-store or at Walmart.com. Depending on if you shop in-store or online will determine which site you use next.

So the first app you need to join to maximize your cash back at Walmart is called Drop. Drop is free to join and pays you cashback to popular stores like Walmart, Target, McDonald’s, and many more.

All you need to do is link your debit/credit card inside the Drop app. Once you purchase at Walmart, you’ll earn 10 points per $1 spent.

Once you make a purchase, you’ll see points show up inside the app within five days.

Once you earn 5,000 points, you can exchange them for $5 gift cards to Starbucks, Amazon, and several other retailers.

When shopping at Walmart, you’ll earn an additional 1% cashback for using Ebates.

Ebates pays quarterly once you have $10 in your account via check, PayPal, or Direct Deposit.
