I recently came across a pretty cool site called TaskRabbit. This site is a marketplace that brings people in your area that need small tasks done and the people actually doing the work together.
It’s pretty easy to acquire one of the many TaskRabbit Jobs, but your location is going to be the key to this opportunity. Once you have a TaskRabbit Job you will be getting paid to help people in your area by completing their tasks.
Running around completing tasks for people is an extremely popular job right now, but if you’re looking to make a full-time income online, check out My #1 Recommendation, it’s how I made over $13,000 online last month!
TaskRabbit is not a scam, but this job might not be for everyone. Lets go ahead and get started and figure out what you will be doing in your TaskRabbit Job.
TaskRabbit Jobs
There really is no end to what type of jobs (what they call tasks) you can complete with TaskRabbit. Just from looking at their app you could get paid to pick up groceries, household cleaning, small home repairs, deliver mail, get food, and much more.
It really all depends on what the person posting the task needs.
How TaskRabbit Works
Once you’re accepted as a tasker you can begin to bid on tasks posted. Basically you will find tasks your interested in and submit a bid. If your bid is accepted go do the work necessary.
If there are any added expenses, like getting groceries, you need to agree on the amount you spent buying groceries. Once your done submit the task as complete and get paid for the task bid price plus any additional expenses.
Where Is TaskRabbit Available?
At this time, TaskRabbit is only available in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Antonio, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington DC.
As you can see right now it’s only available in some major US and UK cities. They have expanded rapidly over the last few years so more cities will be available soon.
If you don’t live in a major city you’re basically out of luck, but if you do soon your city may be added.
TaskRabbit Application Process
The first step is to fill out an application. Once you submit your application TaskRabbit will run a background check and if interested they will contact you to set up a video interview. If all goes well you can begin to work as a TaskRabbit Tasker.
On their information page they explain that the background check is necessary because you will be meeting with people, but don’t worry the people posting the tasks must complete a background check so everyone is safe!
How Much Does TaskRabbit Pay?
There really isn’t an exact answer because you will be bidding on tasks, but basically you will be paid the agreed upon bid amount plus and out of pocket expenses required to complete the tasks, for example shopping for groceries.
There are people using this site that say they can make $10-$20 an hour completing tasks from TaskRabbit.
TaskRabbit pays by Check and PayPal. It seems that payment for completed tasks takes no more then 72 hours. Once your account is at $25 you may cash out at anytime. PayPal payments show up within 24 hours and Checks will be delivered in 3-7 days.
TaskRabbit Complaints and Concerns
Is it Worth The Price You’re Paid
The biggest concern I have with TaskRabbit is it really worth it. When people can bid on tasks you will see some bids that are really low. You may be required to drive to a location or spend a few hours of your time on a task.
Just make sure to calculate how much time and money you will have to spend into your bid on a task.
From what I’ve seen most people don’t do much low bidding so you should be able to make reasonable bids and still get work.
Meeting Strangers
TaskRabbit does do a background check on all the people using their site, but still some people are just creepy or weird. There really isn’t a way around this because most tasks require you to meet up with the person. But just use common sense and if you’re not comfortable with the person avoid it.
Is TaskRabbit A Scam?
TaskRabbit is not a scam, it’s a completely legit job. TaskRabbit really isn’t a work from home opportunity, but there are tasks that can be completed without leaving your house. I’d say to make this a full-time job you would need to complete tasks that require you to leave your house though.
Either way TaskRabbit is very flexible and can be worked into other online opportunities pretty easily or a full-time income.

Thank you for reading. Hopefully I gave you all the information you will need about TaskRabbit Jobs. Used TaskRabbit? Maybe A Similar Site? Let me know your thoughts below!
I used to be a tasker for taskrabbit. I did a full on move for someone and they never paid me for the job and havent contacted me even after I sent them receipts and proof of hours. I put my own money out for the job and never got reimbursed. The total for the job was over 1300. I have to seek legal counsel now. Taskrabbit is a scam
Taskrabbit took my registration money and I took their assessment about 3 months ago, and they never got in touch with me. Kept my registration money and I wasted an hour doing an assessment for nothing. I believe Taskrabbit IS a SCAM!
