Verdict: Legit
Welcome to my Pact App Review. This is one of the most unique apps I have ever seen and I’m excited to tell you more about how the Pact App works.
The Pact App lets you earn money, while setting and sticking with your fitness goals. You will have to put up some cash if you don’t meet your goals, but that should give you even more motivation to stick with it. This app lets you set your goals and log your work outs and healthy eating. If you make your goals you get paid from other members who didn’t, but if you fall short of your goals you’re going to be the one paying!
In this Pact App Review we will take a look at how the process works, what I do and don’t like, and if I recommend using this app.
How Does Pact Work?
Setting Goals
Once you sign up for Pact you will need to set your weekly goals. The 3 categories are workouts, healthy eating, and more fruit and veggies. In each category you get to decide how many days a week you want to complete each activity and how much money you would like to wager if you don’t meet your goals. Once you have set your goals it’s time to get started working to meet your goals.
Workout Tracking
There are a few different ways you can log workouts with Pact, you can check into a local gym, use the motion tracker while you run or workout at home, or use another app to track your activity that links with Pact. For an activity to count it must be at least 30 minutes long and stay above the intensity level. Basically walking or moving keeps you above that level.
Healthy Eating Tracking
There is only one way to log your healthy eating with Pact, you must link your My Fitness Pal app with Pact and log at least 1200 calories and 3 meals a day.
Fruit And Veggie Tracking
The Fruit and Veggie tracking is one of the easiest goals to through the app. With this part all that’s required is for you to take a picture of your healthy fruit or veggie meal or snack.
Meeting Your Goals
At the end of each week the Pact app will see if you reached your goals based on what you have logged within the app and other synced apps. If you met your goals, the next week you will get paid your earnings, but if you did not meet your goals the next week you will be paying out to other members who did. You can send and receive payments via credit/debit card or through PayPal.
Pact Review
I gave the Pact App an 80 out of 100 because there are a few things I don’t like about the app, but it’s still a legit way to make money because they do pay. There have been reports of the app not working correctly, which is the main reason for the lower score, but I have used this app for a few weeks now and everything ran smoothly. Read on to learn more about what I liked and didn’t like about the app.
What I Liked
Payments
I really liked that Pact had different options for payments you can use a debit/credit card or PayPal. Once you have one linked to your account it’s really easy to withdraw you earnings into your account and my first transaction went extremely smoothly.
Way To Stay Motivated
The whole point of this app is to try to motivate you to workout. Some people can’t stay motivated to work out no matter what they try, but Pact gives you a way to basically bet money on your fitness goals. I hate losing money and love to make money so this was a good way for me to stay motivated.
Whether or not Pact can help you stay motivated all depends on your personality and what’s important to you.
What I Didn’t
Reports Of Problems
There have been some reports of problems using this app. It seems that most of those reviews are more than 6 months old and I have used this app for a few weeks and not had any problems, but I wouldn’t be doing my job if I don’t bring it up. A lot of people were having problems getting the app to actually work on their phone. A lot of complaints on the app not wanting to open, and also being very difficult to log workouts, and problems with the My Fitness Pal app syncing correctly.
Like I said all of those reviews are more than 6 months old and I have not yet had any problems.
Some People Aren’t Honest
With anything there are loop holes and some people aren’t honest, but this should not really affect you because if you meet your goals you don’t have to worry about other people making theirs. I think Pact has done a pretty good job of making it as difficult as possible to “beat the system” but I guess if you really wanted to you still could. But that basically defeats the purpose of the app and won’t make you that much money anyways.
Not Going To Earn A Ton
One thing you should know when you decide to use this app is you’re not going to make a ton of money. I have used it for two weeks and met all my goals and earned $5. Only you can decide if $5 is a big enough motivation for staying in shape and working out, but you will find that you will lose a lot more money if you don’t meet your goals, then you will earn if you meet them. To me this is enough motivation.
Final Verdict
Overall the Pact app is a cool way to stay motivated to live a healthy lifestyle and make a few bucks each month for doing so. There are some negatives associated with this app, but with my experiences the app worked great and I had no problems. I do recommend Pact to anyone who already is living healthy or anyone looking to get started. I think it’s a cool way to stay motivated and will work for a lot of people.

Hi Brok
Thanks for this great review. I just have a question: how do you find your referral code on Pact App?
Many thanks!
Hey Janine, To my knowledge the pact app does not have a referral program at this time. They did in 2012, but I could not find any information at the time of writing this review or this comment.
