Chatabout.com offers a few different ways to get paid. Two options are PayPal and Amazon gift cards. Gift cards come in $5, $25, and $50 increments. Your also given the option of prizes. Prizes range from 300 to 1200 points and include phone cases, knickknacks, and jewelry.

Personally I am more interested in the cash options so I always choose PayPal!

Verdict: Not Recommended

I gave ChatAbout an 85 out of 100 because it truly is a unique opportunity to earn cash for being social. I imagine that most people spend way to much time on social media so I know there is plenty of people out there interested in something like this. Honestly it’s really the only website out there that pays you for being social so I don’t have much to compare too.

There were some things I really didn’t like about chat about, but like I said if you want to get paid for being social this is your best and only real option.

UPDATE 7/21/15

It has been brought to my attention that this site has had some issues lately. Although the free membership seems to be working alright. The gold paid membership is having problems. You can check out the comment below this post for details, but basically once you pay for a gold membership you can’t log back in to your account.

If you try to contact support you won’t hear anything back. I did some research throughout forums and have seen many more people coming up with this complaint.

I recommend staying away from this company!

What I Liked About ChatAbout

Getting Paid To Be Unproductive

Like some of you, I know a lot of people who are unproductive for a good part of the day because of social media. Now with chatabout.com at least your making some cash for being unproductive. I just like the idea of it because I know a lot of people can benefit from this opportunity and it is unique.

Referral Program

Chatabout does offer a referral program. For every friend you invite you get 20% of their earnings for life with no limit. This is huge especially with an opportunity like this that offers little earnings. Now you can have your friends make you money!

Payments

I like that they offer PayPal gift cards which is basically payment by PayPal. They also offer Amazon Gift cards for people who don’t have PayPal. This pretty much takes care of everyone who would be using this program. Stay away from the prizes most of it is just junk!

Bonus Area

Chatabout.com offers a bonus area where you can really increase your earnings. Within the bonus area you can earn by:

• Sharing their website on social media
• Taking Polls
• Watching Videos
• Taking Surveys
• Clipping Coupons
• Listening To Radio

This will help you earn more and reach the minimum cash out amount faster!

It May Take Awhile To Get Paid

The minimum cash out amount is $5 or what they consider 500 points with most of the activities that have to do with the social aspect being worth 1-2 points it’s going to take a while to reach 500 points.

As long as you enjoy being social on the site and know that you’re not going to earn $5 in one sitting you should be happy with the chatabout opportunity.

You Won’t be Making Tons Of Cash

I touched on this above, but you have to know that you won’t be making tons of cash with this program. If you take advantage of the referral program you may be able to make a good chunk of change. Sites Navigation Is A Bit Confusing

Just like when you joined Facebook or visited any webpage for the first time it takes a bit to really get used to how the program works and how the site is laid out. I’ve used it for a bit and have started getting the feel for it, but at the beginning I know I was confused about a few portions of the site.

I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. SEE THE COMPANIES I RECOMMEND HERE.

I came to the verdict that Chatabout.com is completely LEGIT. People are making money with this program and the company is really paying people. I recommend this program to anyone tired of wasting time on social media. Now you can socialize and also make an income!

Please know that you’re not going to make a ton of money with this program so you should look at joining some of my other supplemental income opportunities.
