Words Of Worth Requirements
Words Of Worth might be one of the easier companies to start writing for. The requirement list is simple:
- Very good command of the English language
- Reliable internet connection
- An email address that you will check regularly
- Phone (just in case they need to contact you)
- Only a few hours are needed each week
- Ability to submit work on time
How Does Words Of Worth Work?
When you are offered a contract, you will have the opportunity to accept or reject it. The contract will include the number of articles and the pay rate. Contracts can be on-going until the client decides not to renew with Words Of Worth.
Assignments range from 10 to 80 pieces per calendar month. Typical article length is 250-500 words. The subjects will vary, and you could end up with 50 of the same subject, at the most.
They will try to give you assignments that align with your preferences, but if you’re offered something that you aren’t familiar with, they have resources to help you.
General topic ideas will be provided, but you will need to research the client’s website to better understand what they need.
All writing must be unique and may be checked by a content copying application to ensure that it is, in fact, your own writing. If you need more help, they offer a writing course which you can purchase at a reduced rate.
Words Of Worth Application Process
If you are interested in writing for Words Of Worth, go to their application page to Apply To Be A Writer. After filling in your contact info, you will select the subject or subjects that you are interested in writing about. The list is somewhat short but includes topics such as:
- Automotive
- Beauty
- Children
- Education
- Politics
- Travel
The list is based on the requests they receive from current clients. On occasion, they will receive a request for something that does not fit into one of these categories. If you want to suggest a topic based on your knowledge or expertise, they are interested in knowing your strengths. They are particularly interested to know if you have knowledge in:
- Printing
- Virtual hosting
- Industrial metal cutting machinery
After you submit the application form, you will receive a writing assignment to complete. Once you return your sample writing assignment, Words Of Worth will get back to you within 28 days. If they accept your article, you will be placed on a waiting list, and your article may be used. I read on a review site that the waiting list could be up to 5 months. Be sure to read the terms and conditions before applying.
What Does Words Of Worth Terms and Conditions Say?
If you decide to apply to write for Words Of Worth, please read the terms and conditions for yourself. But here are a couple key points I want you to know:
- You waive all rights to be identified as the author of any work you create as part of your assignment. This includes the sample article that you are asked to submit as part of the application process.
- Payments are not made for partially completed contracts. So if you accept a contract for 80 articles, but due to health or another unforeseen circumstance, you only submit 60 articles, Words Of Worth can withhold the entire amount of the contract.
How Much Does Words Of Worth Pay?
Pay rate is based on the content and length of the assignments. Words Of Worth claims to give high payouts to their seasoned writers. I wasn’t able to find any salary reviews. But remember, you will be able to review the rate before accepting the assignment.
When Does Words Of Worth Pay?
Words Of Worth will pay you directly to your bank account, or via PayPal. They pay on the 30th of the following month. So if you accept a contract for the month of February, you will be paid for that assignment on the 30th of March.
Words Of Worth Schedule
Your schedule is based on the number of assignments that you accept. Each writing assignment is a separate contract. You’ll start out with only 1 contract, with the fewest articles per month, which is 10.
Once you’ve accepted a contract, you are obligated to complete it. You can work ahead, but you can’t be late.
If you need to stop writing for Words Of Worth, they want a 30 day notice so that they can replace you.
If you fail to give them 30 days notice, they may withhold payment.
Your schedule is flexible, as long as you are submitting your articles on time. They suggest that you work ahead and schedule your posts so that they are evenly spaced throughout the month.
Words Of Worth Feedback
Words Of Worth only has 1 Glassdoor review. And only 1 testimonial on their website. Both are decent reviews.
Is Working at Words Of Worth a Scam?
Compared to the other writing sites I have reviewed, Words Of Worth appears to be very easy to start writing for. You give up all rights to the articles that you write, and you start by giving them 1 free article.
It might be easy to start writing for them, but you can’t claim the content that you write, so you won’t have anything to show to your next prospective employer who wants to see your professional writing experience.
Having said all that, I don’t see anything that makes Words Of Worth a scam. I just think it will take a long time to start making money with them.

How To Make Money Writing For Your Self
Do you think writing at Words Of Worth is a scam? I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback in the comments below!
This is really interesting!
I’ve heard about some of these free-lance writing jobs before, but have never given them much consideration.
Are these usually blog posts that require much research? It might be tough to fit in, I might continue pursuing affiliate marketing instead, though the reward isn’t very immediate.
Thanks for your review!
Jordan,
You can usually write about a specific topic that you have knowledge on which means you shouldn’t have to do much research. With that being said, if you’re already started in affiliate marketing, I highly recommend to continue to pursue it.
If you need an income you can do some freelance writing but I’d stick to starting a blog and making money with affiliate marketing. The income potential is much more and it can be a passive income.
Thank you for the review of Words of Worth. I keep going back and forth on whether they are worth the time and money or not. Is there any company you recommend over Words of Worth? Also, I know you said that price depends, but could you offer an example of one of the prices they give? Thank you!
