Today I’d like to cover how you can earn the most cash back at Target. We are going to utilize three legitimate sites/apps to make this happen, but don’t worry I’ll cover the whole process in detail.
When you use these three sites, you’ll earn automatic cashback, in-store cashback, and online cashback.
I’m not a financial advisor, so I don’t recommend the use of credit cards, but you can get a Target RedCard to save 5% and get free shipping at Target.com.
Let’s get started, here’s how you can earn the most cash back at Target!
3 Ways To Earn Max Cashback at Target
As mentioned, we are going to utilize three different sites/apps to make this process work. The first app gives you automatic cash back for any purchase in-store or online. Depending if the purchase is online or in-store is going to determine the next site you use. Here’s an explanation of the process.
1) Drop App – Read Review – $1 Sign-Up Bonus – Automatic Cash Back
Drop is a new app that’s available in the US & CA. It’s an automatic cash back app that’s extremely easy to use. All you need to do is link a debit/credit card, if you make a purchase at a participating store you’ll earn cashback!
Luckily, Target is one of the participating stores so you’ll earn for every purchase at Target and Target.com.
All you need to do is sign up for Drop, for free, and accept the Target offer. You’ll earn 10 points per $1 spent.
At this time you can also earn cash back at Walmart, McDonald’s, Uber, and many other retailers!
Once you earn 5,000 points, you can cash out gift cards to Amazon, Starbucks, iTunes, and many more!
Here’s proof that Drop pays:
Once you join Drop for free and link a card, you’ll earn a $1 sign-up bonus.
Again, this is automatic cash back so once you link a card you’ll start earning for all of your purchases at Target!

IMPORTANT: Once you make a purchase at Target, the Drop app automatically gives you cash back, but to earn the most, you’ll need to utilize one of the two sites below depending if you shop in-store or online!
2) Ibotta App – Read Review – $10 Sign-Up Bonus – In-Store Cash Back
Ibotta is an app that pays you to purchase grocery, beauty, household, kids, alcohol, and other products at your favorite retailers. Of course, Ibotta pays you cash back at Target too.
Once you sign up for Ibotta, you can see all of the items they will pay you to buy. All you need to do is purchase the items and scan your receipt inside the app. Within a few hours, Ibotta will approve your purchases and add money to your account.
Most cashback ranges from $.50-$5 per item, but some specialty items pay more.
As long as you use the card you have linked to your Drop account, you’ll earn cashback with Drop and Ibotta!
Once you earn $20, you can get paid via PayPal, Venmo, or popular gift cards!
Here’s proof Ibotta pays:

Thanks for the insight into how to save some money while shopping! There’s always new ways to save money, or make shopping easier, but it’s hard to sift through the junk!
How does something like this work? Just by applying, you get money back on products? Is this a marketing tactic to get you to buy more? I’m just confused as to the process of how they can give you money back.
Seems like a great idea as long as it doesn’t cost anything or have hidden fees. Is this the case? Or is it completely free?
Hey Isaya, thanks for reading. This process is completely free. All three sites are free to join and actually pay you sign up bonuses once you complete your first purchase.
These sites/apps are able to do this because of a thing called affiliate marketing. When you make a purchase they earn a commission and then pass most of that commission on to you.
In regards to purchasing more, I don’t recommend buying something you wouldn’t already buy to earn cashback. If the items you are going to buy are listed as cash back then you should use these sites. With Drop and Ebates they don’t require you to purchase certain items, so you can use them on all purchases.
Hope this answers your questions.
