Dollar Dig Review: Another Cash Back Shopping Scam?

Dollar Dig is a newer cashback website that’s available in the US and Canada. They help you save money by paying cash back to over 3,250 online stores. Most of you already know I’m a huge fan of Ebates and Swagbucks, but I thought I’d check out Dollar Dig and make sure it was legitimate.

I’ve been using the site now for a few months, and all the research I’ve done is pretty positive, so it seems to be a legitimate cash back website.

Please understand that Dollar Dig and other cashback sites will never make you rich, you obviously have to spend money to earn cash back so it’s going to be a tiny income. If you’re serious about making a full-time income online, check out My #1 Recommendation to learn how I made over $13,000 last month online!

In this Dollar Dig review I’ll share how it works, how they pay, and the complaints I’ve found about this site.

How Does Dollar Dig Work?

1. Join For Free

Joining Dollar Dig is easy and completely free. Visit DollarDig.com to get started, once you confirm your email you’ll receive a $2.50 sign-up bonus No Longer Offered!

2. Find Your Favorite Store

Dollar Dig pays you cash back to over 3,250 stores. Find your favorite store and click on it. You’ll see all of the available coupons and deals, plus a link to visit the store and enter a shopping trip.

3. Visit The Store & Shop

Once you find a store, visit the store through the link at Dollar Dig. A new tab opens, and you’ve entered a shopping trip. Feel free to browse the website for items you’d like to buy. When you’re ready, add items to your cart.

4. Make A Purchase

Once you have items in your cart, complete the checkout process. Within ten days, usually sooner, your cashback will show up at Dollar Dig as pending.

5. Get Paid

Within 90 days of your purchase, Dollar Dig approves your cash back, after you earn $25 you can cash out.

How Does Dollar Dig Pay?

Once you have $25 in approved earnings, you can cash out via PayPal, Dwolla, or check. Keep in mind that getting paid isn’t a quick process. It can take up to 90 days for your cash back to be approved; then you’ll need to have $25 in earnings before cashing out.

It seems once you reach the cashout amount and request a payment,  payments are relatively quick.

Dollar Dig Referral Program

Dollar Dig does have a referral program you can use to earn more. There’s no limit to how many friends you can invite, and you’ll earn $2.50 for every friend that reaches the $25 cash out amount.

As long as your friends use the site, it should be an easy way to earn more.

Dollar Dig Complaints

No Cash Back

Unforatnetly this is a complaint you’ll see with any cash back site because it all works on browser cookies. Occasionally your browser might block cookies which means even if you make a purchase, it won’t be a valid cash back purchase.

Most cash back shopping sites have a guide on how to clear your cookies, which is a good idea before you complete a shopping trip.

Long Wait & High Cash Out

Another complaint you’ll see with most cash back sites is waiting for your earnings to be available for cash out. With Dollar Dig your earnings could take up to 90 days to approve depending on the merchant. You’ll also need $25 in your account before you can cash out. This means it’s not going to be quick money, but they do make payments once you’re eligible to cash out.

Is Dollar Dig A Scam?

Dollar Dig is not a scam, the feedback I’ve seen is pretty positive especially with handling issues with missing credits. With that being said, I don’t like that you have to earn $25 before getting paid. Most of the sites pay 1%-3% cash back, so if you do that math, you need to spend a lot of money to earn $25.

If you’d like to give Dollar Dig a try, you can sign up for free at DollarDig.com.

I use Swagbucks and Ebates for my cash back shopping. I would recommend either over Dollar Dig.
