Honestly there are a lot of great Auto Responders out there now. But for me I prefer the AWeber system and have given it a 90 out of 100. Personally I am used to AWeber and have been using their system since I started my website in 2013. The functions they provide are top-notch and reliable. The price isn’t the cheapest, but sometimes you have to pay a bit more for what you really want and like.

AWeber Features
Like I have said AWeber does everything I could ask for and has a lot of very useful features that can be utilized to keep in contact with you customers. Here are the major Features that AWeber provides. There are more, but these are the main ones you will most likely utilize. Of course I did not include the obvious ones, like you can schedule out emails and send emails to right after some one subscribers. All good Autoresponders already do that, but here are some features that I like that you might not find with a free AutoResponder Plugin.
1) Email Templates
Personally I choose not to use this feature, I like to keep my emails simple and don’t use fancy borders, but if you want to you can. There are 100s of different email templates and one really cool thing is they add new ones all the time that have to do with the season. You can also find a template that works for you and customize it to your liking. Use the same template every time and your already starting to build a brand image with your subscribers.
2) Custom Sign Ups
AWeber comes packed full of 100s of custom sign ups to choose from. If you scroll to the top of this page you will see one of them on the right. That is a custom sign up I created through AWeber.
They give you the chance to customize color, all text, images, and what information is required to sign up. You can see I only have email, but if you wanted name, phone, address, and anything you want can be added.
4) Split Testing
This is an awesome more advanced feature of AWeber that I recently started using. For a beginning website owner you may not utilize this feature at first, but once your email list grows and you want to optimize your sign up rate you can actually split test sign ups and see what works best for your company.
5) Social Integration and more
One of the coolest portions of AWeber is you can integrate it with other websites. Obviously you can put your sign ups anywhere on your website, but you can also integrate with Facebook, PayPal, ClickBank, Etsy, and a lot of other companies.

AWeber Pricing
Aweber offers prices based on how many Email Subscribers you have. I have put together the pricing below. But most of you will start out with under 500 Subscribers so you have a chance to join AWeber for $1.
- Under 500 Subscribers: First Month $1 and $19 Monthly
- 500-2,500 Subscribers: $29 A Month
- 2,5001-5,000 Subscribers: $49 A Month
- 5000-10000 Subscribers: $69 A Month
- 10000-25000 Subscribers: $149 A Month
All of the rates above are for monthly rates. They do offer Quarterly and Yearly Rates as well that can save you some money, which I highly recommend.
What I Like
Easy To Use
The thing I like about best about Aweber is the fact it’s extremely easy to use. I have used other email services in the past and you almost had to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. AWeber does offer training, but it’s not really needed because everything you do within AWeber is kept extremely simple.
That is why I recommend it as a great starter autoresponder, even if you have never used a similar program you will feel comfortable and understand how AWeber works.
Customer Service
Another great thing about AWeber is the great customer service. They actually offer live chat on their website, so you do not have to send an email and wait for a response. The live agent is knowledgeable about the program and if you have any questions about how it works, just ask they can help.
Does What I Need For A Fair Price
The best thing about AWeber for me is that it does what I need. Like I said in the intro I send out weekly updates to my subscribers and I also deliver a 5 day course using AWeber. That is the extent of my email marketing needs so AWeber works great. It shows me stats on how many people opened and clicked through which is great and if I ever need help I just ask in live chat.
I have passed up the $19 under 500 subscriber rate, but it’s still a pretty fair price for how many people I get to contact at once, and best of all it’s easy to use!
Reliability
This is the biggest advantage of AWeber. They are extremely reliable. I have never had a problem with an email not going through. I have used a few other email autoresponders in the past and had a few problems. Not with AWeber everything has been completely smooth sailing which is extremely important when you want to keep in touch with your subscribers.
Final Verdict
I really like Aweber and think it’s a great email autoresponder. Honestly it does exactly what I need it to do. Aweber is a fantastic option of a lot of people, but some people are more advanced and will miss a few features. Luckily Aweber allows you to try your first month for only $1.
