Is MySoapBox Surveys A Scam? MySoapBox.com Review

Is MySoapBox an awesome survey site or is it just another survey site scam? Taking paid online surveys is a very popular way to make an extra income online. One site that I recently found that offers paid online surveys is MySoapBox.com.

I decided to join and write a MySoapBox review to see if this survey site is a scam.

I don’t recommend MySoapBox; I have quite a few complaints about the site. I highly recommend checking out these extra income sites; they’re much better.

In this MySoapBox Review, I’ll cover how to earn, how to get paid, and answer is this survey site a scam!

MySoapBox Review

Is MySoapBox A Scam?Site: MySoapBox

Type: Survey Site

Score: 65 out of 100

Verdict: Legitimate, Not Recommended

In this MySoapBox review, I gave them an okay score and marked it legitimate. With that being said, it’s not a site I recommend taking surveys with. I have too many complaints to recommend this site to my readers.

I wish the cash out amount was lower and the fact people are getting kicked out of surveys does not sit well.

I highly recommend checking out the Extra Income Sites I Recommend. You’ll find an extensive list of much better survey site options on that page.

How To Earn

Paid Surveys

The main way and only way to earn at MySoapBox is by taking surveys. You can log on at any time and see what surveys are available or you can have them send you emails when new surveys are available. Each survey will show how many points you’ll receive and the estimated time it takes to complete a survey.

One thing to keep in mind, although MySoapBox says you have a survey available, you still have to qualify for the survey before you can complete it and earn any points.

Most surveys pay 500-2000 points or $.50-$2.

Refer A Friend

MySoapBox does have a referral program that can help you earn some extra cash. You’ll earn 250 points $.25 for every friend that you invite that confirms their email address.

Referring friends is a great way to make some extra cash and not have to take surveys to earn all the money to reach the cashout amount.

How To Get Paid

As you take surveys at MySoapBox, you’ll earn points to redeem for rewards. Most rewards start at either $1, $5, or $10. There’s a ton of gift card options available such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and many more.

One thing that kind of sucks is that your first redemption must be for $25 or 25,000 points.

Once you reach the 25,000 point mark, you can redeem for a $25 gift card. After your first redemption, you can cash out at lower dollar amounts from now on.

Gift cards are all delivered via email within one week of cashing out.

MySoapBox Complaints

High Cash-Out Amount

When I first looked at the rewards and saw that Amazon gift cards start at $1 or 1000 points I was pretty excited, but after further investigation, you’ll need $25 or 25,000 points before you can request your first cash out.

The truth is most people give up on extra income sites before they ever reach the cashout amount. With the minimum cash out amount being $25 I assume most people will give up before reaching it. Especially when you can’t qualify for any surveys, which leads me to the next complaint.

Qualifying For Surveys

If you’ve ever taken surveys before, you know that you have to qualify for most surveys. It’s usually just a few pages of general demographic questions, but if you don’t meet the requirements, you’ll be wasting your time and can’t complete the survey to get paid.

The only way to get around this is to join PaidViewpoint; it’s the only survey site that only sends you surveys you’re pre-qualified for.

Kicked Out of Surveys

The last complaint I’m seeing from many members is after you’ve qualified for a survey you still may get kicked out. For example, you may take 15 minutes of a survey and eventually be told you’re not eligible.

It’s not a huge deal when they say you don’t qualify up front, but it will piss you off when you spend time taking a survey, get kicked out, and have no money to show for it!

Is MySoapBox A Scam?

MySoapBox is not a survey site scam. It seems to be a legitimate survey site, but it’s not one that I recommend. I wish the cashout amount were a bit lower and I’m not a fan of sites that kick you out of surveys towards the end without giving you a reward.

As mentioned, it’s not a scam, so if you’re already a member you will get paid, but you may want to check out some of the Extra Income Sites I Do Recommend!

Extra Income is great! I use quite a few extra income sites to supplement my large online income, but I’m a much bigger fan of making huge affiliate commissions.
